Collection: Vectron DM
Last Friday the first locomotive of a new generation of locomotives officially was presented at a press event, which enriches freight transport and protects the environment at the same time. The class 249 dual-power locomotive (Vectron Dual Mode light) from the Vectron product family from Siemens ensures immense savings in fuel and carbon dioxide. According to Deutsche Bahn, the company will save around 25,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 12 million liters of fuel once all 150 ordered locomotives have been delivered. Thanks to the interplay between electric and diesel drive, a lot of time will also be saved on reloading and shunting.
Model railroad fans, on the other hand, can spend a lot of time shunting. With the announcement by the DB AG, Märklin is also announcing that the class 249 dual-power locomotive with the special livery of DB Cargo AG will be brought to the H0 Märklin and Trix tracks.
The model has the current special paint scheme and many separately applied details. With the mfx+ digital decoder, extensive sound functions, digitally switchable headlights and cab and engine room lighting, the 23.6 cm long model is especially attractive on the H0 tracks.
The locomotive can be found in the assortment under item numbers 39293 (Märklin H0) and 25293 (Trix H0)
Delivery 4th quarter.
