Model: The locomotive has a built-in digital decoder and sound generator with the formats mfx and DCC. 3 axles powered. The locomotive has warm white LED headlights that change over with the direction of travel, can be controlled digitally, and will work in analog operation. The locomotive body and frame are constructed of die-cast zinc.Length over the buffers 60 mm / 2-3/8.
Prototype: DRB Group Administration Bavaria (DRB GV Bay.) class R 3/3 tank locomotive, road number 4773, 0-6-0T wheel arrangement. Built starting in 1921. The locomotive looks as it did around 1924.
Shortly after the end of World War I the DRG had a glaring lack of small powerful tank locomotives. The Group Administration Bavaria therefore ordered 90 of these locomotives. Recourse was had to the proven class D II, which had in the meantime been surpassed by increasing demands. The experience and improvements gathered in operation led finally to the new class R 3/3, which was clearly improved in its performance compared to the class D II. The 90 units delivered proved to be a fortunate choice â several class R 3/3 locomotives were still in use into the Sixties.
Sound.Body and frame constructed of die-cast zinc.
