Printed variant of the BR 231 DR in Era IV. Based exactly on the original, the model has the large front and side windows of the first delivery series. Just as typical were the separately attached handrail bars in front of the driver's cabs and the "tidy" roof.

Prototype-oriented model railroaders should also be impressed by the precisely reproduced, robust bogie detailing, which can withstand the tough everyday operations on the model railroad. The engine with two flywheels, together with the heavy zinc die-cast frame, the elegant cardan shaft drive on four axles (two wheels covered with traction tires in a diagonal arrangement), gives the model excellent running characteristics and high tractive forces. The model comes with a matching PSD XP sound decoder with a large speaker and impresses with a wide range of digital and sound functions.
