39197 – DB AG Class 193 (Vectron) Electric Locomotive In August of 2017, DB Cargo reached a master agreement with Siemens about the delivery of 100 "Vectrons". Initially, DB Cargo ordered 60 Vectrons in a multiple system version (Type D/A/CH/I/NL) for operation on the Rhine-Alps Corridor between Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and the Netherlands. In January of 2019, the remaining 40 locomotives were requested, now with expanded country configurations. All of the units were delivered by September of 2020 as road numbers 193 300-399. In the meantime, various locomotives have entered service as advertising mediums, whereby the advertising on the sides most often reads "Das ist grün." / "This is green". All of the units have an output of 6,400 kilowatts / 8,579 horsepower, a maximum speed of 160 km/h / 100 mph, and they are equipped with the required national train safety systems as well as with the European train safety system ETCS.
