Hobbytrain N scale H28016S Electric locomotive BR 110 DB (CNL), Ep.V, blue/beige, Sound
The E10 belongs to the family of standard locomotives and was built for the German Federal Railway from 1952. The four-axle machines were initially used in high-quality passenger traffic on express and D trains. In 1962, a new streamlined locomotive body was designed for the Rheingold locomotives, which was also used on the series machines from E10 288 onwards. The bend at the front gave the locomotive its nickname "crease". From then on, the locomotives were registered as E10.3 on the German Federal Railway. From the 1990s onwards, the range of applications of the locomotive, which was designated as the 110 series from 1968 onwards, shifted towards local transport. Many machines were therefore equipped with push-pull train controls.
