French State Railways (FSB) BB 7290 electric locomotive.

For use on the French DC network, the FSB procured a total of 237 BB 7200 multi-purpose locomotives starting in 1976. The locomotives, with their distinctive "nez cassé" (broken nose), were designed by the Frenchman Paul Arzens. Some locomotives had special buffers for hauling the interchangeable "Talgo III RD" trains. These buffers were painted red for identification.
