The PIKO model of the 181 213 "Saar" shows all relevant details of its prototype and convinces with the finest paintwork and printing, raised name badges on the sides, specially attached front handles and door handle bars, sharply engraved bogie trims, fine insulators and pantographs with different contact strips. The lighting is done by LEDs. The standard built-in driver's cab and engine room lights, like the tail lights that work depending on the direction of travel, can be controlled digitally with the PluX22 decoder. A powerful five-pole motor with two precisely balanced flywheels that drives all four axes ensures excellent driving characteristics. The heavy PIKO model has two traction tires and a heavy zinc die-cast frame for high tensile forces. The PIKO 181.2 is prepared for easy retrofitting with sound and the largest possible speaker. Optional attachable brake hose dummies are included with the model.
